But Jesus also says in other verses in the Bible that you will be tortured in a lake of fire for eternity if you don't believe in him. Yes, it's a contradiction. There are hundreds of contradictions in the Bible. The Catholics and the Baptists and the Eastern Orthodox all have different opinions about how to escape from this eternal punishment. It all seems very ridiculous and evil from my point of view. What kind of god throws people into a lake of fire for eternity?
